DAY 1 | BUCHAREST – COZIA - SIBIU

Meet and assist at Otopeni Henri Coanda International Airport. The tour is heading north, passing over the Carpathians Mountains into Transylvania On the way a short stop at the Monastery of Cozia (14th century). Drive next to Sibiu/Hermannstadt, European Capital of Culture in 2007, the largest and wealthiest of the seven walled citadels* built in the 12th century by German settlers known as Transylvanian Saxons. Accommodation.

Day 2 | SIBIU – SIBIEL - SIBIU

Breakfast. We will start the day with a city tour of Sibiu including The Big Square, The Little Square, Huet Square, Iron Bridge, The Evangelical Church and The Orthodox Church. Free time for lunch and shopping. In the afternoon we will continue to Sibiel, where we will have a traditional Romanian home at the peasants.

Day 3 | SIBIU – MEDIAS – SIGHISOARA – VISCRI – FAGARAS – SIBIU

Breakfast at the hotel. Short city tour of Medias after which we leave towards Sighisoara. A XIIth century citadel, intact and still inhabitated, Sighisoara too was part of the defense system of Transylvania and also an important commercial city. It is also the birthplace of Vlad Tepes, also known as Vlad Dracul (Vlad the Impaler). Other attractions include: the Church on the Hill, the Church of the Dominican Monastery, the Scholars’ Stairs, the Townhall, the History Museum with the Medieval Weapons rooms, the Torture room and the Clock Tower. Free time for lunch. We continue our journey to the famous village of Viscri, a cultural saxon treasure, one of the main reasons why Prince Charles of Great Britain fell in love with Romania. We will see through our journey the Fagaras Fortress chosen by Huffington Post as the most beautiful fortress in Eastern Europe. After the visit we continue towards Sibiu for accommodation.
