Itinerary

DAY 1 | ARRIVAL IN BUCHAREST

Meet and assist at Otopeni Henri Coanda International Airport and quick panoramic view of the capital, Bucharest on our way to the hotel. Check-in and dinner in the hotel.

Day 2 |BUCHAREST – COZIA – SIBIU - MEDIAS

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the guide and bus at the hotel and departure to Sibiu. The tour is heading north, passing over the Carpathians Mountains into Transylvania On the way a short stop at the Monastery of Cozia (14th century). Drive next to Sibiu/Hermannstadt, European Capital of Culture in 2007, the largest and wealthiest of the seven walled citadels* built in the 12th century by German settlers known as Transylvanian Saxons. Walking tour in Sibiu, including The Big Square, The Little Square, Huet Square, Iron Bridge, The Evangelical Church and The Orthodox Church. Transfer to the hotel in Medias. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 3 | MEDIAS – BIERTAN – SIGHISOARA – PREDEAL

We leave towards Sighisoara. We will stop first in Medias for a short city tour, and we will continue with visiting Biertan, medieval church, home to one of the largest and most impressive medieval strongholds in Transylvania. Arriving in Sighisoara, where we will have free time for lunch and start our tour of the 12^th century citadel, intact and still inhabited. Sighisoara too was part of the defense system of Transylvania and an important commercial city. It is also the birthplace of Vlad Tepes, also known as Vlad Dracul (Vlad the Impaler). Other attractions include: The Church on the Hill, the Church of the Dominican Monastery, the Scholars’ Stairs, the Townhall, the History Museum with the Medieval Weapons rooms, the Torture room and the Clock Tower. Transfer to the hotel in Predeal. Dinner and Overnight

Day 4 | PREDEAL – BRASOV – BRAN – PREDEAL

We will start our day with visiting Brasov where we are going to admire the old city center, the Black church, the Rope Street, one of the narrowest streets in Europe, the city gates. Free time for shopping and lunch. We will go in search for the dark prince, Dracula, at Bran Castle. In the afternoon we will have a carriage ride and a traditional Romanian dinner in Moeciu. Accommodation in Predeal.

Day 5 | PREDEAL – SINAIA - TULCEA

Breakfast. Then we will see another beautiful castle, the Peles Castle which is located in Sinaia, “the pearl of the Carpathians”. Since 1873 it has been the private residence of the royal family of Romania. Free time for lunch and drive to Tulcea, where we will have the accommodation and dinner.

Day 6 | DANUBE DELTA

Today is all about beautiful nature, hundreds of species of birds, natural paradise… We will start our tour in Danube Delta through the canals by speed boats to Mila 23 where we will enjoy a traditional fisherman’s lunch. We will drive back to Tulcea, for accommodation and dinner.

Day 7 | TULCEA – CONSTANTA – BUCHAREST

Breakfast. Departure for Bucharest with a stop in Constanta. city tour visiting the Ovidius Square and the Orthodox Cathedral. Afternoon city tour in Bucharest with the visit of the village museum and the Patriarchal Church. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 8 | FINAL DAY

Breakfast. Visit or free time for shopping. Transfer for the airport (depending on the flight schedule).
